Welcome to the Abacos, Tiffany!

On January 19th, we were so excited to welcome our first (and only) visitor from "home"! Tiffany arrived in the early evening, after taking 4 flights to get here. During her last flight from one Bahamian island to another, she was rewarded with gorgeous views of the islands and brillant reefs, as the low-lying 30 minute flight brought her to us.

Madelyn and Aimee took a taxicab to pick her up. We hailed the nearest cab on VHF 06 by saying "Any cab, Any cab, this is Estella on "oh-six", OVER..." It was a bumpy 15 min ride to the tiny airport. Miss Madelyn loved this adventure and kept saying to Aimee "It's just the two of us, Mama!" We quickly recognized Tiffany's gorgeous smile, and it felt great to finally hug her!

I sent Tiffany to the V-Berth for a quick nap, then we hosted "Charlotte Ann" on our boat for the evening of appetizers and drinks. It was fun to introduce Tiffany to our new friends. Mark, Lisa, and their children are so warm and friendly that within the hour it seemed like we were one big family.

The next morning, Tiffany was already sketching by the marina's pool and we were preparing for the day. We were all excited to depart for our next destination.
