New Plymouth is the only town on Green Turtle Cay. It was established in 1784 by Loyalists from the United States who wanted to remain loyal to the British crown during the American Revolution.
It is a fishing village only 4 miles long. Here are some photos of the streets and local sites…

Here is a photo of the Green Turtle Ferry, which departs the public docks about 5 times per day for Treasure Cay on the Abaco mainland. Here are some visitors waving goodbye on their way to the airport.
One afternoon we found this little restaurant and enjoyed “conch fritters” outdoors:
Our boat is moored outside of town, about a 10 minute walk away from the town itself. Here are some photos of us walking down the quiet road to the Black Sound.
Most evenings lately we have enjoyed socializing with the MacLean’s from “Charlotte Ann”…
