The Girls Arrive in Wilmington North Carolina

We are all together again!

For the past 2 weeks, Brian has been in North Carolina, making final preparations for our trip. He successfully installed our new solar panels and they now bring us up to 13 amps of power per hour during the daytime. Then Brian sailed solo from Beaufort to Wilmington NC last week, Bravo!

Aimee has been working on taking care of the girls, working at the office in Ipwsich and hospital in Newburyport, as well as finishing last-minute projects at home. She shipped all clothing, bathing suits and shoes 10 days ago to Brian via UPS. Omi was a huge help all along the way. Our mail is being forwarded to her house until we return.

Yesterday Aimee, Madelyn and Katja joined Brian via airplane. We had 2 flights. Each time we took off, Katja exclaimed loudly in her squeaky voice as she looked out the window to the small houses and roads "I don't see Daddy! Where is he?" We all had to be patient. When we arrived, there were lots of hugs to go around! We had a short visit to the beach, and came 'home' to Estella at the dock. Today we explored Wilmington, and are in the process of getting settled on the boat as a family.

Our boat will be here all week at the dock. We have scheduled upgrades to include a new AutoPilot, which should be delivered in the next few days. Then the Bennet Brothers Yacht Yard will install this for us.

Tomorrow we will take a tourist trip to Charleston SC with our rental car, maybe staying the night in a hotel. This town has an inspection station for our liferaft, and will bring it back to us later in the week.

We will keep in touch!
For now, we are enjoying our 1st palm trees, and sunny weather in the low 70s. I'm looking forward to starting some novels that Summer gave me! The girls want to play with 18-month-old Grey, a little girl who lives here at the dock with her parents Stephanie and Josh.
